Pritikin Diet

The Pritikin Diet was origanally formulated 50 years ago by its founder Nathan Pritikin. He came up with the low fat pritikin diet when he was diagnosed with heart disease and use it to successfully rehabilitate.

The Pritikin diet consists of mainly fruit, wholegrains and vegetables and avoids fatty foods, fast foods, high calorific drinks and recommends a healthy lifestyle as well as taking care over portion sizes.

Although it is a minor bone of contention it does work if the pritikin diet principle is adhered to.
