Shoah Foundation was originally conceived by Steven Speilberg in 1994 with the purpose of preserving the narratives from survivors of the Holocaust.
Shoah foundation is now part of the University of Southern California and thousands of survivors from 56 different countries have been interviewed about their experiences. The shoah foundation interviews total 52000 in all which converts to 105,000 hours which is cuttently being re- converted to jpeg 2000 in the interest of preservation.
